Based in Saskatchewan, Canada
With decades of experience working professionally as an art therapist with animal assisted therapy, I live with purebred heritage breeds of dogs who are at the center of my life. As a photographer and visual fine artist I am uniquely able to help you create and preserve lasting memories of the connections important to you and your life. I offer timeless, artistic photographs that tell your story. Candid and studio sessions are available at our acreage east of Regina, Saskatchewan, as well as on location. Located on an acreage about half an hour east of Regina, SK, Canada, I am able to offer a warm, safe and comfortable studio setting as well as location shoots in a rural setting.
Legacy sessions are available on location in your home or at a location of your choice. Photography allows me to blend my love of animals, my respect for the human-animal bond, and my strong commitment to family and relationships, with my need for creative expression.
My photography experience began many years ago when I was hired by a small newspaper as their photojournalist. I was also employed by a large photography company with international scope, working in various cities across Canada. From there, my interest continued to grow., as did my passion for learning about photography as an art form. As a visual artist, I have explored multiple media, including watercolour and fibre art. I pursued the study of photography, gradually building on my knowlege and experience. Photography has emerged as the media that for me, most captures the qualities of light and life I want to express.

For many people, uncomfortable memories of posing stiffly in front of a camera at family gatherings make it all the more important to feel at ease when seeking portrats that truly reflect your story and who you are. My process starts with a conversation where I listen carefully to what is most important to you. Patience is a priority as we move through the process, so you are comfortable with the camera, and with me. I’ll guide you through the process, and capture moments that create a lasting legacy of memories. Your satisfaction is my utmost priority. The privilege of being invited into the lives of clients to help tell their stories and create visual and lasting memories is something I never take for granted.

Portrait Photography Sessions
How I work with you to Capture Your Story
Concept & Planning
It all begins with your vision and the conversation starts there. Once your select your package you will receive confirmation of your session booking date and time. During our pre-session conversation you have have the opportunity to share with me exactly what your wishes are for your final works of art. We will ‘meet’ over a phone call or by video call. Once your session is booked you will receive a session information guide to review before we speak. At that time any remaining questions you have can be addressed. If there is any urgency to your situation please let me know as soon as possible so that I can prioritize your needs.
Photoshoot
Youe photography session will proceed based on the service selection you make when you book. Depending on whether your session is in our studio or on location, you can expect me to be prompt and on time. My priority is your comfort. This should be a postive experience for everyone. Every effort will be made to provide a sense of comfort and safety so you have a positive experience. For your animal companions treats and toys approved by you will be provided. Those who may be nervous about being in front of the camera can rest assured that every step is taken to capture the essence, beauty and dignity of who you are.
Editing & Retouching
Gentle editing and processing of your images is a crucial part of the process. Much like the art of processing film in earlier days in photography, the art of digital processing enhances what is already captured by the lens. The process is what helps me to produce your final fine art photographs.

Bringing Your Vision to Life
Studio Portrait Sessions
The Studio portrait experience is perfect for individuals who want personal or professional portraits, as well as for smaller family groups and their pets and companion animals. Your final art photography portraits will look fabulous on any wall or display area in your home or office.

- A personalized photography session in studio
- Professional portrait retouching
- Digital download of 35-40 images
*All portrait prints and products including albums, wall art, keepsakes and digital portraits are sold separately and are not included in the session fee. Wall art portraits start at $425
Legacy Sessions
The legacy session is arranged completely around you and your pet’s needs and abilities. After being certain you and your pet are comfortable, the focus is on the love you feel for each other and the little details you want to remember. Some dogs are mobile and active, while others spend the session in the comfort of their loved one’s arms. Your pet is not required to sit, pose, or move in any specific way. You and your pet’s comfort and safety are the top priority so these sessions are relaxed and full of gentle loving kindness.

Storytelling with Photography
Storytelling with Photography uses images as a tool for self-exploration, personal and emotional expression, by allowing individuals to create visual narratives that reframe personal experiences, build self-awareness, and express the vision that tells your story. Techniques like self-portraits, photo journaling with still images as well as video can lead to greater insight, self-esteem, community building if you choose to share the story. Over the course of a 2 day workshop, you will have an immersive experience. At the end of the workshop you will have produced a powerful and meaningful project you are free to share as you wish, or keep private.
